Lactation is a specialized field that requires technical expertise, rigorous assessment and close clinical follow-up. IBCLC Consultants are internationally certified professionals trained in the prevention, identification and resolution of breastfeeding difficulties.
At Clínica Mulher, the IBCLC Lactation service responds to a growing need for specialized support for mothers and babies. Care includes latch and positioning assessment, pain management, guidance on milk production, prevention and treatment of nipple trauma or mastitis, and support during transitional phases, from the immediate postpartum period through weaning.
The goal is simple: to provide clinical, evidence based support that makes breastfeeding more comfortable, safe and fully adapted to each mother and baby.
