Clínica Mulher operates as a private practice. We do not have an agreement with the Portuguese National Health Service (SNS). We do have agreements with Multicare and AdvanceCare for gynaecology consultations with specific physicians and for certain breast imaging examinations. For ADSE and Médis, special rates apply to breast examinations. You may always submit invoices to your insurer for reimbursement.
Yes. For obstetric ultrasounds, a €50.00 booking deposit is required to secure the appointment. For first medical consultations — and for all consultations with certain physicians — the deposit is €35.00. In both cases, the amount is deducted from the total fee on the day of the appointment. We send an EasyPay payment link by email, with a 24-hour window to complete the payment.
Yes. All private gynaecology consultations (€145.00) include a point-of-care ultrasound performed in the consulting room by the attending physician. Under insurance agreements, the ultrasound is billed separately. Cervical cytology (Pap smear) and HPV testing are not included in the consultation fee — specimen collection is performed during the consultation and the laboratory costs are charged separately, in accordance with the Germano de Sousa price list, benefiting from the agreements Germano de Sousa holds with insurers in Portugal. The imaging ultrasounds listed in this price list are specialised, detailed examinations performed by consultant radiologists and are priced separately.
No. Specimen collection for cervical cytology is performed during the gynaecology consultation. We do not accept external prescriptions for this test. The laboratory analysis fee is charged separately, depending on the parameters tested.
The Multicare agreement covers: gynaecology consultations and point-of-care ultrasound with Dr Joana Ribeiro and Dr Mariana Gamito; colposcopy or hysteroscopy with Dr Joana Ribeiro, with the consultation fee and endoscopic room charge (€50.00) billed additionally; all breast health and bone densitometry examinations; and cardiology examinations. Not covered: obstetric ultrasounds or specialised gynaecological imaging (only transabdominal and transvaginal ultrasound are covered when performed by the clinic's consultant radiologists). Specialised gynaecological ultrasound examinations are not included.
The AdvanceCare agreement covers: gynaecology consultations and point-of-care ultrasound with Dr Joana Ribeiro and Dr Mariana Gamito; colposcopy or hysteroscopy with Dr Joana Ribeiro, with the consultation fee and endoscopic room charge (€50.00) billed additionally; and all bone densitometry examinations. For breast health, only mammography is covered, with an additional charge of €59.50 for tomosynthesis. Not covered: obstetric ultrasounds, specialised gynaecological imaging (only transabdominal and transvaginal ultrasound are covered), or cardiology examinations. Specialised gynaecological ultrasound examinations are not included.
Clínica Mulher is not part of the Médis network. However, we offer a special fee schedule for breast examinations for Médis members — please contact us for details. For all other services (consultations, ultrasounds, other examinations), you may submit invoices to Médis for reimbursement in accordance with your policy terms.

For all other services (consultations, ultrasounds, other examinations), you may submit invoices to ADSE for reimbursement in accordance with applicable regulations.
Yes. Our collection point is operated by the Germano de Sousa Laboratory, which holds agreements with all major insurance schemes in Portugal — including ADSE, Médis, Multicare, AdvanceCare, and others. Prices and terms are the same as those at any Germano de Sousa network location nationwide.
No. Clínica Mulher performs ultrasound, 3D mammography with tomosynthesis, bone densitometry (DEXA), and cardiology examinations, but does not have conventional X-ray equipment.
We accept in-person payment on the day of the consultation or examination. For advance deposits, we send an EasyPay link by email, which allows payment via ATM transfer, MB Way, or credit/debit card.
We are located in Lisbon, in the Sete Rios area — Rua de Campolide 351-A, Twin Towers building. Paid public parking is available on site.
