Specialized in Rheumatology, his clinical practice centres on the diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory and autoimmune rheumatic diseases, with particular expertise in Sjögren’s disease and rheumatoid arthritis.
He combines hospital practice in the Rheumatology Department of Hospital de Santa Maria, where he has led the Sjögren’s Syndrome clinic since 2015, with teaching at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon.
